It almost looks to me like something from a paparazzo, or a police stake-out. Does anyone recognise the subject?

Meaburn, Mennile/Meynell, Metcalf(e), Palliser, Robinson, Rutter, Shipley, Stow, Wilkinson

The panelling below the bow window - is that called wainscoting even though it's on the exterior?

My very thought as well, like some thing from a film.

.    Is AD97 the year in which this building was built? And 90 (above the door) the road number?

Would have to be 1897 not AD97  ;D. I took it as 90 being the street number.

Looks like a picture of two palm trees below "Lounge Bar"

Which was making me wonder if it's not Lounge but the name of the bar, Lagoon Bar or something like that.

Unfortunately this doesn't help in the slightest, but that looks like an old GPO footway joint box manhole cover in the pavement!

Good afternoon,

The gentleman is sporting a RE blazer badge, if he was the doorman he would get the sack standing there like that.

"OFF LICENCE"  refers to shops selling alchoholiday,   "OFF SALES" is the term used in pubs selling take outs outside of normal opening hours.

Two doorbells probably indicates one is for the pub and one for the flat above.

I think it is a bracket  for hanging  a pub type name sign on,  not an aerial.
