George Russell Littleford grave location

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for the location, and if possible a picture, of the grave or memorial of my maternal grandfather George Russell Littleford.  The GRO reference for his death is Dec qtr 1952 Surrey NW Vol 5g p831 but unfortunately I haven't been able to organize the certificate yet nor do I have access to electoral rolls to determine a likely address.

I was advised by a family connection that he died in Chertsey but I have checked with the local council and they don't have him in the burial registers they have.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

1945 electoral register has him living at 112 Guildford Street, Chertsey.  That is in the middle of town and now a hair stylist.

He may have been cremated which would either have been at Woking or Hanworth.

The address at least means I'm looking in the right area. I was told he used to run a fish & chip shop.

I shall try the two crematoriums and see what I can come up with there.

Hi Mirl

Just to let you know, your requests for burial or cremation records where ever you try may be declined as you don't have an exact date of death and his last known address. It's the 2nd question asked after the name of the deceased.

They may be too busy dealing with the recently bereaved to search through at least 3 months worth of records.
