VILLAGE STREET Flint / brick buildings & Church UK LOCATION help, please
« on: Tuesday 06 September 16 11:44 BST (UK) »
Hello!

Any ideas please as to the location of this

VILLAGE STREET SCENE

c Pre WWI view. In the background is a church.

Buildings to the left are of brick  / flint  construction.

There are no signs to be read anywhere (there are remnants of unreadable poster by the window on the left house). A quaint view with relatively well dressed folk posing for the camera. Village 'Bobby' cycles away with chap walking his Dalmatian dog alongside.

I have an inkling that it's Kent / Sussex.

With thanks~001uk

Cobble dressed wall may suggest a seaside location.

Flint walls popular in Kent & Sussex. The rooves appear to have Kent peg tiles. Can't narrow it down any more.

Flint in that form was popular in East Anglia, particularly Norfolk. Those are not Kent peg tiles but pantiles. also used widely in East Anglia

To me, pantiles + flint = Norfolk. Not 100%, but indicative.
