I've been searching for Frances . . .  and the only 'Frances' which comes close to her birth date  (in the available records) is 1777 in Southwark Surrey.  I didn't specify a county when I searched

Parents Henry and Frances Stevens.   No idea if this is correct either - but can see nothing in Herts at all - maybe she wasn't baptised.

I wonder why I even went for Richard and Ann . . .  no idea!   :-\    ::)

Thanks for the pointer re newspapers William.

Will give them a go.   Not knowing the geography can be a disadvantage if there are paper names within the county - but I will see what I can turn up anyhow.    :) :)

The papers on FindMyPast seem to start from 1800s - so birth before they are digitised maybe.  Might have to go to the Burney collection.

Might be worth changing the heading for this post as Whitechapel seems to be out now.

Hi, I see you had traced your ancestors back to Isaac Green and Francis Stevens who married in Essendon.  My family were the Green side of things.  Their son Richard born 24/11/1808 is on our side of the family tree.
Did you manage to find anything meaningful about Isaac or Francis or their family?
Jason
