I am seeking information about my great grandmother's family in County Clare.
Ann Rowland/Roland was born in County Clare in 1832, emigrated to South Australia in about 1854, and in 1861 married Patrick Ryan in Sandhurst (Bendigo) Victoria. She died in 1872. Her parents' names shown on the death certificate are John Rowland and Honora Vaughan.

Two siblings also came to Australia: Mary Rowland, born 1825, married Thomas Tully in Adelaide in 1858. She died in Bendigo in 1899. Patrick Rowland born 1839, married Annie Linehan in Sandhurst (Bendigo) in 1865, and died in New Zealand in 1926. 

The various BDM certificates state the siblings were born in County Clare but do not stipulate a specific location. With a fourteen year age gap between the oldest and youngest it is possible there were other siblings who resided in County Clare.

Any information would be much appreciated.

John was still in the area in 1855.

County Clare records....... most are not on line, It's hard slog to find them, as you can see from the above the Parish Name, sorry but you will have to search this site, it's easy to use.

Oooops! just noticed the records in the Parish are only from 1846.

John's death, by this time most registers for BDM were under the County Town name, Ennis is the CT of Clare, to get an exact place of death you would need the certificate.

Obviously it is yet to be determined if this John Rowland is a relative.
