Samuel Swingeing and son John are shown in the 1910 census living with the Do naghue family at
West 58 th Street Manhattan Ward 22, New York, New York.
Samuel says that he was widowed.

The 1911 census for Bury Lancashire it shows Samuel's second wife Alice Monk living with son Frank
and her family. I wonder what went on there.

I have no further information as to what happened to Samuel in New York. Did he return back to his wife in England ? No sign of him anywhere.
Can anyone see him?

Thanks,
bswinno.

Sandra,
It's a strange one.
Alice reported as a widow when she died.Had Samuel returned from America we would find his death here.
So l assume he stayed there.
