Thanks again Sandra! You are digging up a lot of info for me to go through! Annoyingly I seemed to have free access to the newspaper site without adding any credit card info but now it won't let me view the papers without adding it - it was obviously a glitch earlier.  I don't like adding card info regardless, so will try again tomorrow and see if I strike lucky again! Sorry I haven't found any record of the marriage yet - probably nothing online for the time frame needed - (no mention of a sister-in-law in the obit for Irene in 1948) found a telephoto of Arthur - shown on
