Cretingham Parish Records (Suffolk)
« on: Tuesday 13 September 16 00:24 BST (UK) »
Trying to trace a Charles Pyett who it appears married Elizabeth Orvis in Kettleburgh in 1764.
His parish is noted as Cretingham. Subsequent Pyett/Pyatt seem to be located in Framlingham.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.

This doesn't mean he was necessarily born in Cretingham - just that he was living there at the time of the marriage.

True Annette. Unfortunately I cannot find him in any of the transposed parish in the general area.
Elizabeth Orvis may have come from Rattlesden, but that seems a bit far away. Charles (son?) married a girl from Framlingham (in Rendlesham), had a family and died in Framlingham.

Thanks again.
