I just know he married Sarah Jane Jarvis, but this is from another person's Ancestry tree.

I think you will need to be careful when taking information from other trees ...I would say this is

Hi everyone,

Sorry for such a late reply, I've been working such long shifts I haven't had chance to come on here.

Thank you so much for all of your help and dedicated time, I'm going to attempt to link all of this in with my tree. As some of you have said, it is quite tricky because there are so many Halford's around in Leicestershire during this time period.

I have John's parents as being Thomas Halford and Susannah Castledine, I don't know if this is going to change things!
