Kew lookup

Hi All

Is any kind person going to Kew in the near future, to do a look up in the Land Army Register, I will put the details in a Private Message, as this concerns a living person who was adopted at birth, I have just reunited her with her birth family and now she is in touch with 9 brothers and sisters who have welcomed her with open arms and love, her mother was in the Land Army and she would love to know more about her stay there.

The records havent survived, TNA only has a card index which contains names and addresses, my great aunt's card doesn't even say where she went.

I get the impression that the information rcorded wasn't standardised

My great aunts card contains very little information. She told us many years before she died she enlisted aged 19 or 20 circa 1943/44. The card doesn't.

Just to let you know, a member of Roots has checked the LA cards at Kew for me, and there is lots of information on there for person I was looking for.
