Hi Ciderdrinker.

Its not my Ann then I only have her in 1841 in Winchcombe with her parents and brothers just thought it might be her too many Ann Mansell's I'm afraid.

Well I have spent a good few hours trying to find Charles and Ann Houlday or Houldey.

I have found them in 1861 Houlday living at Winchcombe with their daughter Emma.
I have found Charles Houldey baptism in 1818 Haresfield (parents Charles and Mary)
Charles Houldey and Mary Gaseby. married in 1804 in Gloucester.
I have found Emma Houlday baptism 1854 Winchcomb.(parents Charles and Anne)

I have found other Charles Houldey's in Churchdown Probates and census's but are not him.
even in 1881 widow aged 64 retired blacksmith with a son John but wrong Charles.

I can not find Charles before 1861.
I can not find Emma after 1861 nor Charles or Ann.Maybe they went abroad.

There's this chap in 1851?  His age is wrong, but otherwise fits

Charles Houldey, aged 25 b Haresfield, blacksmith journeyman, Listed as servant, but as he is with a blacksmith I think he is an employee.

Queen Square, Winchcomb

Ref HO107, 1971, 119, 7

As for Emma - a possible on 1871. transcribed on Ancestry as Hanldey, but image looks like Houldey

Aged 16, b Gloucestershire, servant in Stroud. Ref  RG10, 2633, 83, 13

Hi Mabel
Thank You
It sounds good
I am not able to see the census while I am at home but will have a look tomorrow.
of course Ann was from Winchcombe and that's where they married in 1852.Although I haven't found Ann in 1851 only in 1841 with her parents at Winchcombe.
