Isidor Lichtenstein 1813-1871 Russian?
« on: Friday 14 October 16 23:42 BST (UK) »
Hi,
I am seeking information on a distant relative.
He died in 11th May 1871 Smallburgh, Norfolk, England.
Born 1813? Russia might be Prussia?
First real evidence I have found is as a student at Queens College Cambridge in 1848

B.A. 1853
1853 ordained in Norwich
1854 Priest
1853-8 Curate of Wheatacre, Suffolk
1859-1866 Curate of Worlingworth-cum Southolt
1866-1876 Curate of Ingham, Norfolk

Just found this:
On the 29th March 1867, at Ingham, Elizabeth, the wife of the Rev Isidor LICHTENSTEIN, curate of that parish, aged 50. from Beccles & Bungay Weekly News 9 April 1867

Second Marriage: Helena Louisa Wymer  1836-1896 4th Feb 1869.

I have seen mention that his father was Moritz Lichtenstein 1831-1899 but that makes no sense as I think Isidor was born 1813 as I have found death age was 58, suggesting Moritz was his brother?
Mother is listed as Malchen.

Any help would be most welcome and I thank you in advance.
Kind Regards
Paul Williams
