The Corp Family Baltonsborough Somerset

Where so I start?

I know a fair bit about my family history already, a man named Sydney Corp who married Martha Higgins both from Baltonsborough Somerset are my Great grandparents, I also know that Martha Higgins had  child prior to her marriage to Sydney and that very fact caused them both to move from Baltonsborough to to live on the Mendip Hills about 20 miles or so away.

I am interested in anyone with a link to Sydney or Martha and with Marthas child who it is rumoured moved to London.

Anyone any information ?

The Corp/Higgins marriage was 1884 and the illegitimate child was Harry Higgins born June qtr 1880 according to the 1891 census

Do you have Harry on the 1911 census - was he married - did he have any children etc?

Think you will find Harry listed as Henry on 1911 census.

If this is correct person he married June quarter 1905 Leicester to Louisa Cannon.

Living in Humberstone Leicester with a son George Higging born 1909 Leicester.
His birth registered March quarter 1909 Leicester as George Henry Higgins.

Many thanks for the information - I'll investigate further.

My Dad (no longer with us) said that as far as the family knew he moved to London. Looks like that is probably wrong.
