Looking for James O'Neill

Hello Chatters,
This is new to me so hope I'm doing this in the right place.
I am searching for a Great Great grandfather,  his name  was  James O'Neill born Dublin  Irealand according to marriage certificate  married Mary Jane Hitchcock 1887. Certificate states father john O'Neill mother Mary Castigan, they had
Mary Ellen b 1883 m Donald Marrs
Jane Catherine b 1884 m a man surname Watt
Rose Helena b1886 m man surname McElroy
William John b 1888 m Mary Sailsbury (my Great Grandparents )
Harry James b1891
Arthur Gerald b 1895
I cannot find his death anywhere his wife and children are nearly all buried at Coburg Cemetery but him i cant find anywhere, any help would be gratefully appreciated  i have scoured trove newspapers, digger cd and I'm an amateur so any help

her death on Trove doesn't mention much..

O'NEILL-The Friends of the late Mrs MARY JANE O'NEILL are informed that her remains will be Interred in the Coburg Cemetery. The funeral will leave her residence 35Rossmoyne-street, Thornbury, THIS DAY ( Wednesday ), 28th August, at 1 p.m. J.FERGUSON and SON, Funeral Directors,

Trying to narrow James death down a bit - he's not mentioned in the obit for Mary's son George from her first marriage in 1925, so possibly before Feb 1925.

O'Neill.— On the 7th September, at the Melbourne Hospital, Arthur Gerald, the beloved youngest son of Mrs. Mary Jane O'Neill, of .8 Warr’s -Avenue, South Preston, aged 18 years. Deeply regretted.(He was born 1895)

Mary Jane possibly lived in the Preston, Northcote, Thornbury area from 1903 and she had occupation as charwoman and HD.  If it is the correct Mary Jane then she was no James O'NEILL at the same address.

So we are searching for any information about him from around the time of the birth of their last child in 1895 to 1903 when Mary Jane appears on the electoral roll as a charwoman.
