Hi

Somehow - Robert Boggs is part of my family tree (father-in-law of fourth cousin)!  He was born 1843 Kilnappy County Londonderry.  Married Sarah Campbell.  Mary was born on board the Devonia 10.4.1891. He was the Ships Master.  Samuel Thomas was born 28 Mar 1893 at Harvey Street.  He married an Eliza Jane McClements from Gortnaskey (where my grandfathers' family are from).....I have a bit more if you're interested....
Cumber, Upper and Lower, Londonderry - Nutt, McComb, Cunningham, Rosborough
Strabane, Upper and Lower: Rosborough, Sproule, Buchanan, Tait, Ellis, King,
Donegal: Buchanan, Stevenson, Davis, Connor

New to both searching family history and this web site.
I can go back to my great grand father captain Robert Boggs who died with all crew member on the steel barque "Oesso" of Holyhead late 1800s.

Does any one have any information on Boggs family from Harvey Street.

Kind regards Samuel Boggs

Boggs from Londonderry. My ancestor John Boggs was the son of Robert Boggs of Fermanagh Ireland. Robert married Nancy McGill. Their son John and his wife Mary Ann Cunningham sailed for Sydney Australia in 1837 on the Adam Lodge. Does this ring a bell with your family research

Hi,
Just read your post. I know it's been a long time since you posted but  Robert Boggs is also my husbands g grandfather.
I have been researching the Boggs family since about 2003. I went to Ireland and met some of the family around 2005.

Hello magster51, It is a dream of mine to find Boggs family in Ireland. I descend from John Boggs and Mary Anne Cunningham who sailed on the ship :Adam Lodge" and arrived in Sydney 1837. Does this ring a bell ? I would love to hear more from you. I am from Sydney Australia (*)
