He appears to have emigrated in 1892. There's also mention of a younger brother, Gaston, who never married.

At http://www.automatedgenealogy.com/ you can find the two brothers in the 1901 census, indexed as "Gerinoz".

A submitted tree at geneanet.org has both Fernand and Gaston, among another siblings, as children of André Antoine Isidore Gérinroze and Françoise (Franceline) Rouillion.

http://www.rootschat.com/links/01ir6/  - this would be Gaston Rene's birth, if he is the right man.  It appears (from the marginal note) that he was born before his parents were married but then he was recognised as the son of André Antoine Isidore Gérinroze at marriage.
