Eastbourne library has street directories up to the 1940s (I think, possibly even later), so if you're interested in who lived at 25 Carlton Road in the early 20th century I could look it up for you.

Claire thank for the offer of the library, I do live in Eastbourne so maybe the library will be my next stop.

Last time I looked at the directories they were on the top floor, in the reference library
