Free BMD has the death of an Edward J Tulk, aged 72, registered in Chertsey in Dec Q 1913.

That's the closest I can find, but not entirely convincing.
Hi,
I have a birth for a Edward j Tulk, born in 1841, in the registration district of Cockermouth, Cumberland. So this Edward must have died in the Chertsey registration district in 1913, aged 72.
Thanks anyway.
Carol

I'm beginning to wonder if he went abroad and died outside England.

That could include Ireland or Scotland of course.

Where were all his kids living,if mum moved in with one and died there in 1919.

Hi,

The majority of children were living in the Croydon area, except of course the one in the Brentford area. I know this is going to sound strange, I have tried to do a time line for Edward, and the last time I knew he was alive, was at my Grandmother's marriage in 1904, he was a witness, and his name is on the 1911 census, which I believe was taken in the September of that year. I did wonder whether Eliza just put his name down as a matter of fact!!??
As far as I know, the family hardly ever moved away from the Croydon area, so was amazed to find Eliza dead in Brentford!
Over to you, and thanks for your interest.

Could this possibly be him?

I can't find a passenger list for him but I did notice that one daughter (Elizabeth Eliza HARDING) moved to Ontario about 1911.

Unfortunately there appears to be an Edward Tuck, English-born, on the 1861 census for Ontario.  There's no age given on the FamilySearch record but if it's the same man it obviously rules him out.   ???

Hi Maureen,
I don't know how you did it, but I can not thank you enough for your wonderful input. I thought I was never, ever, going to find this death, and from what I see on the details, this is my EDWARD, as his Father was Alexander and of course his wife was Eliza. Eliza must have come back to England after Edward's death and lived with one of her children. Can you tell whether Elizabeth and her husband John Harding stayed in Canada?
You are an angel in disguise, thank you so much.
Regards and eternal thanks,
Carol

Here he is in 1871 with his parents, his father is indeed Alexander which fits with the death cert that Maureen found.
The age on the cert did say 66 (which would be correct)but has been changed to read 61.
