Geneaology Websites
« on: Thursday 03 November 16 19:54 GMT (UK) »
Dont want to break any rules here, but a question to the experienced. What websites do you recommend for finding out birth / marriage / death records?

Seems to be quite a few to choose from, just wondering what people on here recommend.

Thanks.

For the subscription sites I suggest you look at their card index or catalogue and see which one has  most coverage for the areas you are interested in. You can often find offers for trial subscriptions, although free, you have to give your credit card details to register, just be careful to cancel the subscription  a couple of days before the free period ends.

Happy hunting.

Or there's this one:
http://freereg2.freereg.org.uk/
Which covers some parish register entries.

That does depend on whether the parishes you are interested in are covered!
