Historical Records of the family Parslow
« on: Saturday 05 November 16 13:52 GMT (UK) »
I recently lost an Aunt (nee: Parslow) who was 101, and found in her possessions a distant relation Frederick Parslow who was awarded the Victoria Cross and his son the Distinguished Service Medal.
I am trying to find his relationship to my Aunt, and continue building a family tree.
He recently (July 2015) had a commemorative plaque laid on Islington Green, somebody must know something of this brave man?
My Aunt was an amazing lady, married to Albert Campbell, who was killed aboard HMS Hood in WWII.
If anyone can assist I would appreciate any help.
Thank
Phil Parslow

Hi
I hope this is your man
Frederick Daniel Parslow
born 14.4.1856 Islington
d 4.7.1915
son of Charles James Parslow  oilman and Eliza Pizzey.
He died when his ship was hit by a submarine off Cork. And for that he was awarded the VC.

It's difficult to connect him without a name for your aunt .A few more deatails would help.
