Crickmore Family
« on: Monday 07 November 16 08:15 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

Looking to find descendants connected to James Crickmore born 1840 who owned the Crickmore Saddler and Harness shop in George St, Altrincham, Manchester around the 1800's, James married Betsy Gerrard in 1863 and had four children Amy, Edward, Minnie and James, would love to make contact with family members to help fill in some blanks.

Regards
Nari

James Crickmore born 1840 in Sheffield is in a tree on Ancestry.

Have you tried to contact the tree owner?

Which of his children are you descended from?

Added:
Son James went to Australia?

Thankyou for the information, I was actually only doing some more work on them today and looking at the photo I have of the shop from the 1860's, did you know the family, hoping one day someone will be able to name the gentlemen standing in the photo, I know at least one of them has to be a Crickmore just not sure which one.

We moved to Curzon Drive in 1970 at which time Ethel was looking after Mr C who had had a leg amputated - he predecessor her
I remember he had a shed in his back garden for his leatherworking tools
They didn't have any children
There are local historians in Timperley & Altrincham who may be able to help you

Neville B Crickmore was the son of Edward R Crickmore, 1866, and the grandson of James Crickmore, 1840, according to a tree on Ancestry.
