thanks for all the response guys! It is the correct marriage date and I have the cencus records, but I dont have a death date for Thomas Watson or if he is buried in Kirkcolm. Also what did a beadle do in those days?
Been trying for a long time to find poorhouse records for McKendrys but so far only have one from 1881.

Scotlands people shows 111 deaths of Thomas Watson between 1861 and 1871

1862 Kirkcolm looks the lost likely - 887/13 - no age given at that time.

WATSON - THOMAS - 1862 - 887/ 13 - Kirkcolm

1867  Kirkcolm 887/14 but 87 years old so the date of birh 1796 wouldn't fit.

There is a headstone on anc for Francis Mckendry 25 December 1870. Mary Watson 24 April 1887. Granddaughter Annie Cavin aged 7 years died 15 October 1894 and James Cavin 15 October 1898 aged 60 years,

According to anc tree - Agnes Mckendry - 1856–1937 born  22 May 1856 - Kirkcolm, Wigtownshire, Scotland passed away 30 January 1937 - Stoneykirk, Wigtownshire.
