No records were/are kept of people travelling between Ireland and England/Scotland/Wales so the best you can usually do is narrow down the period when a person moved over to England. It's possible that some other of the family also left Ireland.

Thomas McGough (c1858-aft.1911) m. Anne Feeney (d.bef.1901)

1. Michael McGough (1890-aft.1911)
Birth: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/cert_amends/cert_1890/1907061a.pdf
2. Honor/Nora McGough (1890-aft.1911)
     Birth: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1891/02396/1893376.pdf
3. Mary McGough (1891-aft.1901)
     Birth: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1892/02354/1879647.pdf
4. John McGough (1893-aft.1901)
     Birth: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1893/02311/1866160.pdf
5. Thomas McGough (1894)
6. Bridget McGough (1896-aft.1901)
     Birth: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/birth_returns/births_1896/02146/1814460.pdf

The family lived in Carrowbrinogue (Castlebar is the registration district)-

Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi Peter,

Did you find out any further information regarding Thomas McGoff married to Alice Maloney - as he is my great-grandfather

I'm the grandson of Ann Carbert (nee McGoff)

Thanks

Unfortunately I don't think there's a link.. my great grandad Thomas McGoff ( originally spelled McGough ) .... was the first generation to come to England as he was born in County Mayo, Ireland - he married my great grandma in 1922 near easington, county durham and we believe he came to England a year or two before

We don't know of any other relatives who came over to England - he did have brothers and sisters, but they lived/stayed in County Mayo
