I cant find anything about Alan Knott, other than he existed.

My grandad was Sidney Knott, married Ada Atkinson, his dad was James( Jim) Knott, married Elizabeth possibly Nicholson? born 1875. Before that I have no idea of the family tree.

Struggling  ???

This is your grandfather, as found by dcbnwh

KNOTT, SYDNEY mmn NICHOLSON
GRO Reference: 1906  M Quarter in GLANFORD BRIGG  Volume 07A  Page 707

You can try and find marriages for Alan Knott (Scunthorpe 1957?) and then children, and then use 192.com for him or wife or children.

If you have looked for deaths for Alan Knott and found nothing likely, then consider that he is still alive and cannot be discussed on here.

Yes, Mother's Maiden Name.

Lizdb posted the marriage of Jim and Elizabeth.

In 1939, Arthur and Alice are at 49 Feverel Avenue, Scunthorpe. A child is blanked out, presumably Alan.

There is an Alan Knott who was a casualty in the Korean War in 1950, but no age given.

Alice died, Q2 2002 in North Lincolnshire.

David

P.S. I forgot to mention that they are transcribed as Knoxx and I have reported the error.
If Alan is blanked out, it suggests that he may still be alive and so no information can be given about him.
