Please bear in mind that some two-thirds of all the WW1 Service Records were destroyed/damaged in a WW2 bombing raid. :-\

Can see the  British War Medal and Victory Medal -    457765 Pte Lab. Corps.  Have you got a date of birth so that someone can have a look for you?

Thank you KGarrad, Sandra, I am trying to tie-in Alfred with a Frederick John Smith (1901-1967) Paddington. who left the medal 457765 A Smith Labour Corps. So was Alfred a relation of his family?

Scouseboy just asks the questions, he doesn't do genelogy research - Is it Frederick -  Frederick J Smith Birth Date: abt 1901 passed away Jun 1967 - aged 66 years
Registration district:   Kensington London -  Volume 5C Page 661
Someone may have a private anc tree on Frederick in uniform - could he have lived at  398 Harrow Rd, Paddington, London ?  Would be handy to know which Smith family so that we can check if he is related.

Just checking to see if this is the correct family - Did Fred have a brother George William Smith - 7 Broughton Road, Stoke Newington - father Frank James Edgar Smith ?
