Have you any idea how old he was when he married? There are several John D Johnsons born in and around Newark, so without his age or his father's name, it might be hard to be sure you have the correct one.

Are you sure that he has died, if not you will have to remove his name?

I looked for a birth for Margaret to get a rough possible idea of his age.  I cannot see one for her in Averham.
Have you any further information?

Thank-you

Added:
Just been reading some of your previous posts.
If the death date for Margaret is correct, then her birth is not Averham:
Births March quarter 1933
Margaret A Beckett   mmn Spencer    Ashbourne  7b  999

If Margaret died in West Yorkshire, then was he the informant on her death certificate?

You need to give us the information from the marriage certificate - too many John D Johnsons including 2 in Newark in 1929 and 1933.  Or what have your half-sisters told you about date of death?

I would suggest getting a copy of the marriage cert

Order from www.gro.gov.uk using the ref you have quoted from the index.

Hopefully that will give you some more info about John - middle name, age, address, occupation, fathers name are all possible.
Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex
