Kingston Cemetery
« on: Tuesday 22 November 16 20:56 GMT (UK) »
I know this is a really big ask, so I am not really expecting anyone to be able to sort it.

However, just in case anyone happens to be wandering around Kingston Cemetery, and happens to be in Section C, and happens to pass grave 1482, where an Ellen Wickenden was buried who had died on 15th Jan 1928,  please could you note down what is says on the headstone (assuming there is one!)

Thanks - just in case any of you do happen to be there!

Hi you may have had someone do this for you by now? If not I can't do it for you yet but I could pop up there for you in the new year once my children are back at school if that helps?

That would be greatly appreciated - but Please do not go out of your way. I don't even know if there is a headstone to see.  But if you are going anyway, or if it is no trouble, then it would be appreciated. There is no hurry.
Thanks for the offer.

Hi its honestly no problem, my family appears so far to have long links to Kingston so I pop up there every so often searching for graves etc so its not putting my out at all, its just easier for me to go when the children are in school which is the 5th Jan so will be some point after then will update once I've been :)

Hi I am so sorry it has taken so long to get back to you, life got in the way and unfortunately I had not been able to get to the cemetery or do any work on my ancestry

I did get to the cemetery this week and unfortunately as is the same with most of family buried in Kingston there was no headstone for your grave, I did take a picture of the plot if that is any interest to you?

Take care
Michelle

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this.

No, I wont need a picture of the plot.

You are very kind to have remembered this and done it. Sorry there was no headstone to give further details to make it more worthwhile.

"Life" does get in the way of Family History, doesn't it?!

Yes it does unfortunately

I honestly didn't mind I looked up some graves for myself while I was there, I'm just sorry there was no gravestone for you to see
