Robert Dunbar birth about 1833
« on: Tuesday 22 November 16 21:30 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for Robert Dunbar birth about 1833 in Scotland.  One lead has a possible family in Latheron, Caithness, Scotland and there is a possible birth 20 Nov 1835 with baptism 30 November but I cannot access that record.

I believe the parents are John Dunbar and Margaret (no maiden name) I have Margaret passing in Wroxeter, Ontario, Canada   3 JAN 1890  at daughter's  (Isabella) family home.  Hint for birth and baptism states parents are Margaret Henderson and John Dunbar

I believe there were two other children but possibly more

Isabella Dunbar 1833–30 MAY 1917  Wroxeter, Huron, Ontario, Canada

I have so far been unable to connect Isabel/Isabella with the family in  Latheron, Caithness

Margaret Dunbar 1840–  Have little info on her except a marriage in 1865 in Huron County to a Sidney Shaw.  I have been unable to see details of the marriage record online here in Canada and they seem to have moved to Michigan at some point, possibly to Bay City Ward 6, Bay, Michigan, USA.

Given that most of the given names are common and Dunbar seems common, this may not be the correct family in Latheron, Caithness but looking at all possibilities
Dunbar, Clark,Bain, Lipp, Campbell, Pope, Barnard, Handcock, McAdams,Creath

I neglected to add that his occupation in the Canada 1911 Census and on death certificate was "bricklayer"  I have seen others on Canada Census that are listed as bricklayer one time and Mason  another.  Unsure if they were interchangeable or if person taking census used terms as interchangeable.

Mason 'occupation is to build with stone or brick' = Bricklayer
