looking for relatives of the forrest/syrie families in South shields
« on: Wednesday 23 November 16 14:45 GMT (UK) »
Hi my names is Amy Baldwin

I am looking for any people who have Forrest or syrie's in their family tree who lived in south shields as I am a descendant of Dora Syrie (1905-1995) and Robert Hamilton Dora's second husband the forrest family are connected with the syrie's through marriage so if anyone has a William Forrest and Billah (Isabella) Allison in their tree please post back to me as I would love to know more, as I have done my family tree all on my own with help from my grandmother Deirdre Elizabeth Hogarth Hansen (nee Hamilton).

Syrie is an old irish name and has many different spellings such as seery, seary, sayre etc.
South shields - Forrest, harper, O'Neill and Syrie

Denmark - Hansen

Scotland - Hamilton

Ireland - Seary, seery and other spellings, buckley.

Gravesend, kent - Baldwin

Hi,

Welcome to RootsChat

At the bottom of each RootsChat page in the brown area under "Your Tools" is a section called "Surname Interests" - it might be worth adding your surnames to those lists -

Nice photographs on anc tree - presume that might be yours.

Sandra

Always lovely to put a name to a face in genealogy - not everyone is so fortunate though.
