It's possible, there is also the age gap that they might want to reduce.
Have you found her death? EDIT You've been asked that, sorry.
Is this a possibility, the locations don't really make much sense, but presuming Arthur Priest was long dead -
Marriage
Dec 1964 Doncaster 2b 743
Judge, John - spouse Priest
Priest, Ellen G. - spouse Judge

Death
June 1990 Brentwood
Helen Gertrude Judge
d-o-b 23 August 1902

That d-o-b would fit the Bedfordshire birth reg.
I haven't found anything else to account for a Helen G Judge with that d-o-b.

I think 7 and 1 are fairly commonly confused with each other, it only takes a blob of ink or even a crease in the paper, so well worth investigating.

Also, if entry is as you have posted Aug 1900 but no date for day, but all other facts fit, then suggests to me either she didn’t know or more likely that someone else was giving the information. Knew her birthday was in August but not what day, and guessed the year. (Although why it wasn’t corrected later I don’t know)

Edit, I’ve just checked. Date given as 23 August 1900
No sign of a later marriage recorded (nor shift in district)

Thanks jonw. That's interesting because the date on the 1939 record for Ellens birth is the 23rd of August. Though the year is 1900. I wonder is it too much of a coincidence.
The online tree I mentioned earlier  gives 28.08.1902 for Ellens birth and 13.06.1990 for death, at 'Billericay'. But also a tree, the same one?, has her marrying a man called Hobbis. It is so confusing

The Doncaster record might make sense because some of the family did move to Yorkshire

The Biggleswade area family fit with a 1902 date and a father Walter. I just don't know if it is enough to be sure though, with all the confusion over the dates.

I’ve been trying to find the birth of Edward in 1934, presumably Hendon MMN Parsons which is a bit annoying.

Yes Edward (deceased) is b 1934 Hendon. His birthdate on the 1939 is correct on the transcription but a day out on the image?
There is also confusion about MMN on Edwards younger Priest  siblings, where the MMN has reverted to 'Sharpe' for some reason,  but I don't want to go into too much detail as not sure if still living.

Families are always Interesting.. :)

I presume  every Arthur’s first marriage was to Elizabeth Mary MEAD in 1906

Did Arthur die Hendon 1946?
Added, oh yes he did. Burial record shows same address.

Yes Arthurs first marriage was to Elizabeth Mead and yes he died in 1946.
The Priests were from Buckinghamshire originally but Arthur was born in Bethnal Green, father James.

It is interesting :) and its nice to help, because the family didn't know much about them at all
