Can anyone help me with the following?
Irish census 1911 has Mary Lloyd (age 44) living in a house in Denzille st., Dublin, together with her daughter Annie (age 12) and her son, Timothy (age 6). Mary was born Co. Tipperary and both the children were born in England. Image is indistinct but more precise place of birth for Annie could be Cheshire and for Timothy, Liverpool. Mary has stated that she is widowed but was married 14 years earlier. She has also declared 4 children born with three living.
Timothy married Mary Amelia McElroy in Dublin 1927 and gave his full name as Timothy Robert Lloyd. His father’s name as stated on the marriage cert is also Timothy Robert Lloyd.
Despite extensive effort, have so far been unable to take my research back further. I cannot find the family on the 1901 census, either in Ireland or the UK. I cannot find the marriage of the elder Timothy Robert to Mary, nor can I find a record of the childrens’ births.
Additionally, the whereabouts of Mary’s third surviving child in 1911 is a mystery. If her marriage took place c.1897, that child could not have been older than 14 in 1911.
Am carrying out this research as a surprise birthday present for a friend and would love to expand the information on the Lloyd side of his family. If anyone could help I would be really grateful.
