I have a few instances of late baptisms too. Most recently, my 3xg grandmother married in 1844, had three girls in 1845, 1847 and 1848. Her husband died in 1848 and she moved back to her home area where all three girls were baptised in 1856.

My family tree also contains 2nd baptisms, years after the first.

From the research that I undertook, all children were born in Scotland and baptised shortly after their respective births.

The parents and children later moved to a new area and all children and their parents were re baptised together.
It became apparent that this family were converts to a new religious denomination.
