McCusker Family in Ireland

I am brand new to this site.  If I am in error in placing this here please let me know.

I am looking for information on Thomas McCusker.  I believe he was born 15 Aug 1851 and immigrated to the U.S. in 1870.  His parents might have been John and Brigid McKearney McCusker.  Thomas married Jane Berry, the daughter of William and Jane Kane Berry.  I am not certain whether they were married prior to reaching the U.S.  They had John Michael, Jane Gertrude, William, Emmett Joseph, Francis "Frank", Marie and Paul.

Any insight on any of those mentioned would be GREATLY appreciated!

We do need to know which area of Ireland the parents may have originated from.

An old message board post from December 1999 - suggests that the parents  John McCusker who married a Bridget McKearney Ireland, approx 1830, moved to Scotland had a son born Thomas McCusker August 1851.  Have you searched Scotland census ?  What information have you already found ?

This would appear to be the family in 1900 Darlington, Beaver, Pennsylvania. Census would appear to say Thomas immigrated in 1875 and was married in 1879. Under McCuster.

Son John McCuster born 27 October 1884 Sandy Creek, Pennsylvania according to U .S. Social Security Applications and Claims Index.

Have you managed to locate any obituries for Thomas or Jane in the USA which may suggest parents names or where they came from ?

Have you followed there children in the USA ?

Thomas McCusker - 15 August 1851 - 25 December 1917 Pittsburgh Allegheny.

Death certificate confirms parents as John McCusker and mother Bridget McKearney -  Informant W J McCusker. Pneumonia following injuries to eye due to fall in mine accident. Lists burial in East Palestine. His wife is also buried in this cemetery.

William Berry passed away between census 1870 and 1880 - Jane Berry is still with the family which makes it look as if the marriage to Thomas McCusker was later - the 1880 census was 1 June 1880
