Can't find any record other than a birth index???

Hi,

I have a Violet May Hobby, born 1906 to Thomas and Sarah Hobby (maiden name Joshua). The birth is registered in Newport, 11a 299.
However I can't find any other record of Violet other than the birth, but I'm pretty sure she was still alive in 1911 based on the number of alive children Thomas says he has (Sarah had passed away in 1909).

Any help/suggestions/ anything would be great!!

Also, there is a marriage in Pontypridd in 1940 for a Violet May Hobby but this isn't her, this is one of her [Violet May b 1906] relatives!!!!!
