Hi,

I am trying to find info on Hedwig Geissel, I believe she was born in Germany and was an artist having seen one of her paintings with her name in the bottom left corner.

I have failed to find anything about her, I have no birth, death or parents for her so it may be a stab in the dark,

I would appreciate any info that is on offer,

What sort of date range are you looking at?
1900's? 1800's, 1700's?

Than you KGarrad for your reply, according to the person who has the painting it's the 1900's, I did come across what you posted to me and I am inclined to think it may be her and her family.

The owner is just trying to find out a bit about Hedwig.

Hi, I am from Tasmania in Australia and also have a painting by hedwik geissel.
Unfortunately I don't have any information about her and are very interested if you have found out any more about her.
The painting we have is of a vase and flowers.
