chelsea pensioners, mid-19th century
« on: Monday 25 July 05 21:02 BST (UK) »

Pardon my ignorance, but can anyone tell me how to find any details of the military careers of :

Aaron Pickett, born Wroughton, Wiltshire, circa 1808

and

James Longshaw, born Shipton-under-Wychwood, Oxfordshire, circa 1819

Both given as 'Chelsea Pensioner' in the 1851 and 1861 census. respectively.
