Please can anyone help me to get a lead on  Gertrude Wright b 1899. Her marriage certificate in 1917. gives age as 18 married Henry Harris. Her father is Frederick William Wright coal miner. At the time of marriage she is living  at10 Nursery Terrace Mansfield.  MArriage. took place at the registry office.  Witnesses. J Harris.   L Wright.  Many thanks.   . Tineke

From the censuses it looks as though Ellen Crowder's parents were probably Henry and Harriet. I don't have a baptism for Ellen but there is this marriage at Mansfield St Peter and Paul:

1861 12 25   Henry   CROWDER         Harriett   ALLEN   

and going back, this baptism at the same place:

date of birth 1842 03 31   date of baptism 1842 04 08      Henry CROWDER  father Francis labourer, mother Ellen       abode Duck La   

and can go back further if you wish.

OK. Bear in mind that any info I give looks the most likely match but you would still need to double check it with entries in parish registers etc.

Between 1823 - 1844 there are 9 baptisms listed for children of Francis and Ellen Crowder, all in Mansfield.

Likely marriage for Francis and Ellen BINCH at Mansfield on 13 April 1823.

There was a Francis Crowder bapt to George and Susannah Crowder in Mansfield in 1803 -- the second of 7 children bapt between 1798 - 1819. George was listed a labourer, abode wwest gate, on the last two baptisms. George Crowder m Susannah Best in Mansfield on 24.4.1797.
