Tracing a photograph
« on: Wednesday 28 December 16 16:35 GMT (UK) »
Many years ago I read a short (magazine I think) article that contained a photograph of my ancestors. It showed, three or four generations of the Gregory family outside their smithy at Crowdecote, Derbyshire.  Two men in the centre has just stopped work, not sure is one has a sledgehammer in his hand, a lady holding a babe in arms to the right side of the photo and, I think, one more character on the left.  In the background a jumble of blacksmiths detritus.

My question is:  How would members suggest I try to obtain a copy of this photograph for my records.

Many thanks - Alex

If you google "smithy crowdecote" and click on images it produces two photos from Staffordshire past
Which are captioned as smithy crowdecote,  but may not be the ones you are looking for

Very many thanks to all who helped.  Haven't yet found the photograph I had in mind but I've found five others of ancestor uncles and places where they worked.  And, I have some trawling still to do!

Many thanks   Alex Edge
