New Miller connection request
« on: Friday 30 December 16 22:16 GMT (UK) »
OK.  I've a random way of progressing through the towns and villages of Suffolk looking for millers.

I'm now looking at Stowmarket (plenty of mills and millers here!!!).

My target is William Bridges and the Grimwood family.  Familysearch suggest that there is a link, but I cannot pin it down.

Any help would be great!

Happy New Year Mr WM  ;)

Have you been in contact with Maggie Driver of the Grimwood ONS, she has a website dedicated to the name too, she may be able to help you.

Don't know about Mr W Bridges of Stowmarket, as you know we are Fram and villages to the north of the town up to the county line (Waveney valley villages).

Hi SM,

Great to hear from you.  I hope you and Mr. B are well.  Shall be in Fram in New Year but off to Spain for a few days winter sun first.

ONS = One Name Study, Maggie has a database of Grimwood and Grimwade, however I can't seem to connect to the website at the moment. Will PM her email address to you.

Enjoy the sunshine  :D

Hi SM,

Thanks.  I'm just starting my Tax Return.  Will get back to mills & millers shortly.
