Finding who lived at an address
« on: Saturday 31 December 16 16:07 GMT (UK) »
Hello

Can anyone tell me how to find out who lived at an address in 1911/1912 please?

the house still exists today, and I have a record of a child being born there in 1912, but it seems odd to find my relative there...

Can I find out whether the property was perhaps a 'home for fallen women' or similar?

Thank you

If you tell us the address (no mention of even the country in your post) then we might be able to find details for you or suggest where you can look next.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

Hi

The 1911 census is searchable by address on Ancestry and FindMyPast.  We are not allowed to publish info from that census on Rootschat

You may be able to find out if you can access Trade/Post Office Directories for the period.

Why don't you just put the Street name in appropriate search box on Census site and look??
Give a man a record and you feed him for a day.
Teach a man to research, and you feed him for a lifetime.
