Welcome to Rootschat  :)  'Christopher Mooney from Kildare' is a bit vague. Do you have any idea of his age? parents' names (or at least father's name and occupation from marriage certificate)? It's possible you'll find his birth record and entries in 1911 &1901 census-
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-search.jsp
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/

The only Christopher Mooney living in Co. Kildare in 1911 is this one- he may, or may not, be the one you are looking for:
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Kildare/Rathmore/Bullockpark/569363
There are, however, 2 others in 1911 born in Co. Kildare so you can see why more details are needed to avoid tracing the wrong person

I know that he was a prisioner in Dundalk jail in 1922, but I dont know anything about him after that.
He was as far as I can find attached to the the Straffen Battalion. I think he fought in the Civil War as he was a prisioner, but dont know if he fought in the 1961 rising or in the War of Independance.
He died at age 40, so there is not much information about him in the family and I am trying to put the pieces together. He did not get a pension, but may have applied for one.
