The RIC data is taken from the service record and is correct.  Looks like Jane's death data is not on record.
Thanks to all for trying to help.

Thanks Gaffy for locating that.  It was worth a try.

FTR

Some of the early 1900 deaths that I have found to be missing  ;D
have a common factor of deaths in private nursing homes

I think that families may have assumed that the nursing home would register the death but did not.
This is from details in obituaries and death notices
Kearney & Bourke/ Johns & Fox/ Mannion & Finan/ Donohoe & Curley
Byrne [Carthy], Keeffe/ Germaine, Butler/ McDermott, Giblin/ Lally, Dolan
Toole, Doran; Dowling, Grogan/ Reilly, Burke; Warren, Kidd [Lawless]/ Smith, Scally; Mangan, Rodgers/ Fahy, Calday; Staunton, Miller
Further generations:
Brophy Coleman Eathorn(e) Fahy Fitzpatrick Geraghty Haverty Keane Keogh Nowlan Rowe Walder

Thanks for that info. I didn't know that about nursing homes and non registration of deaths.  That might explain a lot!

They are just a few of mine but it was interesting

One was a man who died of a ruptured appendix and there was a piece in the paper as he was well known in the town and full details of where he died, his family, etc. Yet there is no official registration!

If a death certificate was not required for something official I now feel that it was probably assumed by both parties (i.e. family and institution) that the other did the paperwork.  I have found hospitals and workhouses were more efficient with records.

This is just a personal observation
