A shoemaker by trade and residing on John Street in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, he enlisted in the CEF on 24 Sept 1914 in Valcartier, Quebec, Canada.

Appears the brother Edward Beckett served with the 3 rd Royal Fusiliers - Mauritius and South Africa

Edward passed away September 1926 - Lewisham London - 1 d 791

Father James Beckett born 1848 passed away September 1926 - aged 78 years - Stepney. London. 1 c 245

and Mother Sarah Beckett 1851 passed away June 1929 - Stepney - 1c 257.

The brother Edward T Beckett may have married Ethel M Whennell in 1915 Mile End Old Town - 1C 874 -
IF that is the right connection, there was  3 sons born to Beckett/Whennell in Dec 1917  March 1920  June 1922

There was a death record for Ethel M Beckett - 1892 - 1957 - Stepney - 5 d 769 -
