Clara Tonks was born in 1866 in Walsall. She emigrated to Australia - Charters Towers. I am looking for some further information about Clara Tonks.

Before or after she emigrated?

Mother and Father on 1871 census - John (57,.....up Thongs, b. Walsall) and Maria (44, b. Walsall) Tonks, siblings John (19), James (14), Henry (9), Thomas (7) and Charles (3), all born Walsall. Wife and son John same occupations as John senior. James occupation Lab at ............ RG10/2964 Folio165 Page 33 Walsall

I presume you've got the 1881 details......

(On the other censuses her mothers name is Mary, not Maria - possible marriage? - John Tonks June 1845 Vol 17 Page 251 to Mary Amelia Stringer, other possible brides on page are Elizabeth Hilston, Lydia Groves or Harriet Haddley)

On 1861 census there is an older sibling Sophia (14), and Johns occupation is Whip Thong Maker RG9/2013 Folio 124 Page 13 Walsall

Thank you very much for the information.
In 1881 Clara Tonks was living with her family in Walsall Foreign, 2 Box Street, but not in the year 1891. I don`t know where she lived after 1881 or when she emigrated.
Her parents were called John Tonks and Mary Ann Kettledon.
