I've found that Joseph's full name was Joseph Robbins(Robins) Dillon and he was born roughly 1758, annoyingly still no date of death

Joseph Robbins Dillon, doesn't say he's a jeweller but the year fits.

There is another Joseph R Dillon in 1874, a relative perhaps

Name matches the jeweller and the date matches the burial records. Joseph Dillon in St. Patrick's was buried 14 Oct 1814, So it could be him. It is a shame it doesn't give any more detail though, even the word jeweller would have pretty much confirmed it.

Leo hasn't been online since Feb.2017 but suspect from looking at his other posts his interest might be in the burials in St. Patrick's rather than the Dillon family in particular. Hopefully he'll soon see your message and confirm or correct my theory.
Away sorting out DNA matches... I may be gone for some time many years!

No, I'm not related. I was working in St. Patrick's Gateway Centre, doing research on the graveyard and church for some historical leaflets for them and Jonathan Dillon's name appeared in the burial records.

Hello , My name is Gary Dillon from St Johns Newfoundland Canada. My Great Great Grandfather is a Richard Dillon born. 1827 in Waterford Ireland who came to Newfoundland in the 1840’s.There is only one Richard Dillon I can find  on line born at the same year. This Richard was born to Jonathon and Margaret Dillon but what I have found online was of all his brothers and sisters but nothing on Richard.I know this is an older post and I am shooting in the dark but I am hoping someone may see this and provide with the information I am looking for.I really don’t know where else to look as I have been looking for some time now so any information I would be most grateful.

On further searching I came across a will of Richard Dillon who died in the 1890s in Ireland so I don’t believe this Richard to be my Great Great Grandfather.Therefor would anyone know of another Richard Dillon born around the same time in Waterford (1825 to 1827)
