Delaney's of Queen's County
« on: Friday 20 January 17 01:40 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for 3 brothers who emigrated from "Queen's County" Ireland to the United States in the mid-1820's (most likely to work on the Erie Canal.)
Their names are:
Patrick Delaney (b. abt. 1795)
William Delaney (b. abt. 1796)
George Delaney (b. abt. 1799)

They were all single when they emigrated.  From what I have found in research the Delaney/Delany name is fairly common in the County Laois area.
Do these combination of names sound familiar to anyone?

Deb.

Hi,
The only Delaney I found born about 1790's was a John in 1793.
Offerlane  in the town land of Castletown.
Then I went to the Tithe records and saw 3 entries for DELANY in Castletown area.
Did these mane marry? if they did have you got their marriage records and any records that state their father or mothers name?

Hey there, i know its been a while and this might be a long shot but anways.. I've been tracking my grandmothers family history and have come to some Delanys, i'm in New Zealand, and so are most of my ancestors but i have come back to a Patrick Delany from Queens County in Ireland. I am yet to figure out when/where his daughter was born as she is my 5th generation grandmother. She married in New Zealand in 1870 and her father is this Patrick Delany from Queens County. I am wondering if there is a connection to your Patrick

I know this has been a while since original post, but I found the 3 brothers mentioned. They were in Cambria county Pennsylvania Allegheny township. I believe William is my GGG grandfather. They were all at this location in the 1850 census. I found William in the 1840 census as well
