Hello,

I don't mean that, sorry.

I can see that Mary Ann is a sister to Bridget and Julia.
What I mean is that Mary Frances Thompson and /or Mary Jane Christiansen do not seem to be Mary Ann Farley from the evidence of the marriage to Christian Christiansen and the Christiansen children's births.

I suppose it could be that for some reason both Mary and Mary Ann changed their names for 1901 census but this would also mean place of birth for Mary the mother and then the age for Mary Ann.
She then would also be giving the assumed name when her children were born.
If this was so, it would seem to be a very serious reason.

Mary, mother, becomes Mary Ann Farley in 1911 though. :-\

Have you found a death for Mary Christiansen?

I haven't found a marriage but was told she married a Christensen

Hello Annie,
You say you were told that she married a Christiansen. Presumably the family had no connection with the Christiansen family later?

I have seen an interesting marriage:

1943 Mary F Christiansen marriage to Louis E Tinard.

Then a death
1956 Bootle Mary F Tinard.

Does any of this ring a bell?

Mary F Tinard is in 1939 index so they must have been together before they married.

There is a Sarah McBride (Christiansen) also in the same household.

Free BMD shows a birth Sarah Christiansen, 1919 with mother Thompson.

A correction to previous post re 1939.
I just read a post by groom elsewhere on Rootschat re names in the register. Names were updated so Mary F would be Christiansen in 1939 and register updated later to read Tinard.
