Hannah Jenkins mother
« on: Monday 23 January 17 00:34 GMT (UK) »
Hi, Hannah Jenkins borned all her children in the Landore Inn. Hannah was born in 1810 and died 1855. She married George Truscott. Her father was James Jenkins.Edward was one of the sons there maybe a possibility   this Edward or another a relation also named Edward.. was the person who  bought the the Foesyrefail works and opened it under it's new name Clayton .In 1885 Mr John Williams came from Abertillery to succsesfully manage [Clayton Works].  I am trying to find Hannah's mother whom I believe could possibly be named Williams[ann?] There is alsoSamuel Williams of Foesyrefail who had opened the Dulais Tinplate works about the same time.I have been to many different sites to try to find the mother of Hannah born in 1810 in Llangafelach. No one can actually find her for clear confermation as to wether she was Hannah Jenkins Truscott mother as yet. Could you see if you could look up this mother of Hannah for me please? Hannah's middle name is Sophia. She borned 11 children over a short time. I have spent money and done a great deal of research over four years, and get get any further. Please help if possible, many thanks Diane.

Hannah Truscott, wife of George Truscott, applied for Letters of Administration for her father John Jenkins's estate in 1851. She explained that her only brother (a batchelor not named) was in America when John Jenkins died intestate in 1845. The brother had since died in America, hence the delay in application.

Yes thanking you very much..Hannah did have a brother in America with the same story that you presented to me. There must have been a mix up on the trail regarding I was given to believe that her fathers name was James for a very long time! Now only to find that her fathers name  was actually John! I will look into all these helpful info from you both. many thanks from Diane.

As you were Diane. His name was James Jenkins not John. My mistake.

The General Register Office index shows a death for a James Jenkins in 1845 S Quarter in Swansea Union Volume 26 Page 310 aged 75.
