hi can anyone hellp me find a marriage for a ward to a sleigh i have 2 children one born 1916 harold ward darlington mother sleigh the other winifred ward 1924  darlington mother sleigh, but im completly stumped with the marriage many thanks

I wonder if this might be the correct one-try and find them on the 1939 register too.

that could be correct as harold is not on there as he died i think in 1918 in march darlington

Yes I thought that must be his death too.

I'm not sure what a Tenderstripper is though!

Just a thought but might his occupation be related to the railway industry as in train tenders ?

I should think that is pretty likely, Darlington was a major centre for railway manufacture.

You ought to check the original,though, in case it is a dreadful mis-transcription!
