MAYCOCK family
« on: Tuesday 27 July 04 09:33 BST (UK) »
Does anyone have an interest in the Maycock family, from Ramsey.

I'm particularly interested in Eliza Maycock born around 1824 and transported to Van Diemen's Land in 1846.

Paula :-)

Hi there,

I'm descended from the BOON family of Hunts. They had a Richard Boon m Susanah MAYCOCK.

The info I have suggests she was born c 1830 in Ramsey.

That's about the extent of my MAYCOCK records sorry. I have plenty Boon stuff though including photo's of Richard boon.

Sean.

Hi Paula

I've just been looking for some ancestors in Ramsey on the 1841 census and noticed a number of Maycocks - do you have this information? If not I'll extract it for you. I'm half way through Ramsey, with 3 Maycock families so far, including an Eliza 14 dau of Joseph, 60.

Regards

David

I've just had a look at the 1861 census, my Rachel Richardson nee Maycock was  a nurse at the residence of your Maycock family.

I found out yesterday that Herbert Maycock, son of George and Betsy from Ramsey, married Ellen Annie German (widow) aged 72, in 1947 at Woodstone church. Herbert was also a widow aged 74.

Ellen was my husbands grandfathers twin sister. (Ellen Brewster)

Is anyone aware of George Maycock in their tree?

Margaret

Hi
I have a Maycock in my family tree. I have found a William Maycock who was married at Ramsey in 1916 to Lucy Bowers.  On the marriage certificate William is shown as a soldier serving with the 3rd Northants. He was 40 years old when he married, and his father is shown as  Sam Maycock whose profession was Toolman.  I have been unable to find any trace of William or his wife Lucy after the wedding, and I have only just started to find, or at least try to find, ancestors prior to this. Any help would be much appreciated.

Not sure if anyone is still using this page or searching for relevant Maycock Family history...
New to this search history and trying to trace my own history and believe it on not, I am a MAYCOCK.
Currently Living in Melbourne Australia, with known history in Adelaide Australia and Tasmania (both free settlers and convicts) We could have some relation to this blood line as discussed in this forum and would like to find out more... Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
